                                                                                                                                       Submission Guidelines

        PRAVO requests and accepts submissions in a vast array of scholarly fields such as history, political science, sociology, geography, religious studies, gender studies, linguistics, and media. Within these subjects, the journal's primary focus is on: ethnicity, immigration & diaspora, nationalism, European Union integration,  language, politics, society, environment, diplomacy, economy, gender, religion, population, demography, and media.

        Please adhere to the following guidelines for the submission of your scholarly article;

1. PRAVO accepts submissions in the English and French languages only.

2. All submissions should be no less than 20 and no longer than approximately 30 pages double-spaced, in size 12 font, and Times New Roman font style.

3. Please format your article according to the Chicago School style or that of the Social Science style (author, year). If using the social science style, please insert notes in text with author name and date (Smith, 1999)

4. We accept only footnotes. Please refrain from using endnotes. Include a bibliography of works cited following your footnotes.

5. Italize all foreign words (including Latin terms) within your article submission.

6. Numbers smaller than 50 must be written out (ex. forty-nine). Sentences beginning with numbers must be spelled-out. (ex: 'Thirty workers voted against the motion.')

7. Items not in parentheses such as percentages, fractions et al. must be spelled-out: ex. '60 percent of voters supported the motion,' or 'The majority of voters (60%) were in support."   

8. It is unacceptable for articles submitted to this journal to be under review, in print, or published with another journal.

9. Submissions become the limited copyright of PRAVO. However, the author retains full copyright privileges over his/her own work. When citing your work from the journal, you must cite it accordingly (name and internet address).

N.B. It is the sole responsibility of the author to ensure that his/her paper submission conforms to PRAVO's submission guidelines. Failure to do so may result in the submission being rejected or returned to the author for further editing/formatting.
